Utilizing the first-hand experience of IBEW skilled tradesmen and providing the continuity of a two-year assignment: • Maintains safe, productive and knowledgeable IBEW training analysts. • Allows a developmental rotation for employees interested in becoming an instructor. • Shares best practices with consistent methods, tools and equipment. • Returns IBEW training analysts to the field as subject matter experts. • Develops the skilled pipeline of future training analysts. • Illustrates the IBEW and Alabama Power partnership as a national model of success. A Training Partnership Evan Abbott, utility assistant, Paul Lawson, IBEW training analyst, and Justin Johnston, apprentice lineman, at the Varnons Training Center. 39% of Alabama Power employees are represented by the IBEW. "We value our partnership with NABTU to open new careers in the skilled trades and bring new opportunity to Alabama." – Jeff Peoples, senior vice president, Employee Services and Labor Relations
