7 Subcommittee: Employee Count & Representation Employee Count & Representation is tasked with evaluating the company's workforce in order to improve representation at all levels and drive actions that achieve company workforce goals. Mission Jeff Peoples | Jim Heilbron | Jean Lynch Ashley Robinett Is a subset of diversity that focuses on gender and racial demographics. It refers to the representation of minority and female employees within the company. Diversity, through representation and other ways, leads to better business performance, responsiveness of customer needs and team collaboration. There are areas of the company where women and minorities are underrepresented, and the self-analysis of workforce representation shows where there is room for improvement. Is the actual number of people working for Alabama Power on any given day. To ensure we have the right skill sets to serve our customers and continually meet the changing nature of our industry, employee count is carefully assessed. This proactive analysis monitors the retention of talent across the organization and identifies the evolution of skill sets within a business unit to inform Alabama Power's recruiting strategies.
