The commitment to service never retires. Energizers
is a nonprofit organization of Alabama Power and
Southern Company retirees and their spouses who
are committed to selflessly serve. After retiring,
many employees realize they would rather give back
than sit back. That service looks like building school
playgrounds, delivering meals, assisting with adult
literacy programs and volunteering at hospitals and
nursing homes.
Energizers is also the nation's largest single
contributor to Project Lifesaver, the transmitter
bracelet program used to locate missing people,
including the elderly, the disabled and those with
memory challenges.
Energizers
50,000+ hours logged in
2018 by 1,500 members
in 11 statewide chapters.
To date, Energizers
has raised $125,403 for
Project Lifesaver.
