Since April 1920,
Powergrams has chronicled
the history of Alabama Power,
the company and its employees.
The January 2020 magazine is the
1,819th issue in a century of publication.
Originating 14 years after the company's
founding, the magazine was the brainchild
of President Tom Martin, who noted
in the first issue its purpose was to
alert employees to "our problems,
our hopes and purposes."
