If you have any questions about whether a person actually works for Alabama Power, call Alabama Power at 1-800-245-2244 and do not let him or her inside your home. Alabama Power takes your safety seriously, as well as your privacy and the privacy of your financial information. Unfortunately, there are many unscrupulous people, some falsely claiming to be Alabama Power employees, who may try to take advantage of you, and take your money. Don't be fooled, and don't be scammed. Remember the following about Alabama Power and how we do business: n We will never come to your door and demand an immediate payment. n We will never ask you over the phone for bank information or a credit card number. POWER RECIPE Scammers sometimes claim they represent a public n agency or government office offering grants that can pay your Alabama Power or other utility bill. Never provide anyone making this claim your credit card information, your Alabama Power bill information or account number, or any personal banking information. If someone makes this claim, call Alabama Power or your local police department to report it. n If you ever have any question about the status of your Alabama Power account, do not hesitate to call us. You can reach Alabama Power Customer Service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 1-800-245-2244. n There are a number of reliable sources for information about consumer fraud and scams. For U.S. government information, visit www.usa.gov and search under consumer fraud and scams. Another reliable source is the Better Business Bureau. Visit www. bbb.org for more information or to find your local Better Business Bureau office. Kentucky Derby Pie 1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 325°. Mix sugar and flour with fork. Add eggs and melted butter. Stir in nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla. Mix well. Pour mixture into pie crust. Bake for 45 minutes.
