Page 3 CULTURE & INCLUSION The recent tragic deaths of unarmed Blacks across America have prompted Alabama Power leaders to not only take a stand against racism and discrimination, but to engage in discussions aimed at shaping a framework for a beer tomorrow. Page 11 OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY CEO Mark Crosswhite has led an aggressive company response internally and externally to the social injustice seen nationwide. He and eight other executives have made their viewpoints clear in a series of videos called "Our Shared Responsibility." Page 13 MUTUAL AGREEMENT When storms struck New Jersey, near Chicago and Louisiana/Texas in August, Alabama Power linemen headed north and west to help get the power back on for customers of other companies, through the long-established mutual agreement pacts of support. Page 17 APSO For nearly a quarter- century, members of the Alabama Power Service Organization treated St. Mary's Children's Home as an extension of their own households. Their celebrated birthday parties, sadly, have come to a conclusion. Page 19 ENERGIZERS Since retiring in 1997, Alvin Teel has spent a lot of his time in the friendly skies. The 81-year-old not only enjoys piloting his fixed- wing Cessna, but revels in teaching friends how to soar like eagles. Page 21 COMMUNITY For most of a decade, Allison Allen has mentored her "Lile Sister," watching her grow from a child to a high school senior. The Mobile Division risk management analyst has been honored by Big Brothers Big Sisters for her dedication. Page 23 PROFILE Her roller derby season was canceled by the pandemic, but Gabby Brown and Tragic City Rollers teammates haven't stopped practicing or going out into the community to promote equality. POWERGRAMS © Alabama Power Company 2020 RECREATION Anglers in boats and all along the shores of Alabama Power lakes have reeled in record-seing catches of alligator gar, bass, carp and catfish, as recorded by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the International Game Fish Association. Page 44 PROFILE Calvin Mickens didn't like geing picked on as a child, so he took up karate for protection. That wise move led to a lifetime of working out and staying in championship shape. Page 45 HONORS The Hydropower Foundation is in shipshape aer Kenneth Odom's two years as president of the organization based in Colorado. The Hydro Services engineer continues helping as a member of the board of directors. Page 47 PROFILE Billy Norris has spent most of his life in his hometown of Phenix City, as well as a big percentage of his days as an Alabama Power employee. This year he is celebrating a half-century with the company. Page 49 ENVIRONMENT Alabama Power is aiding an ambitious plan by the state and Alabama Wildlife Federation to build 26 reefs in the Gulf of Mexico.
