At Alabama Power, we know that the strength of our team is based in its diversity. Working together with our unique backgrounds, experiences and ideas enables us to serve our customers with excellence each day. This year has been unlike any we could have imagined. The COVID-19 pandemic, tragic killings of Black Americans and the resulting social awakening, a record-setting storm season and much more have immensely affected our team, our communities and our state. Through it all, your hard work and dedication have remained resolute as we've powered Alabama communities when they have needed us most. While circumstances have hindered our ability to gather, I believe our team has never been stronger. Through the work of the Council on Culture and Inclusion (CCI), we are committed to ensuring all employees are valued, respected and treated fairly. The events of 2020 have required us, as individuals and as a company, to sharpen our focus on race relations. The CCI has led us through a period of focused dialogue and has developed plans for meaningful change in our company and beyond. Each of us has a responsibility to foster an inclusive culture, fi ght injustice and create a brighter future for Alabama. Let 's continue to strengthen the Alabama Power culture, building on the legacy of those who have come before us. Together, our collective actions will continue to drive change and move our company and communities forward to a better tomorrow.
