Backed by more than 60 corporate partners, EDPA is dedicated to managing a comprehensive database of available sites and buildings throughout the state of Alabama. It serves as the home for the Alabama Business Intelligence Center, a facility that generates actionable data insights to facilitate the recruitment and retention of businesses in Alabama. With a 30-year history of collaboration with automotive companies, the organization is a key partner in various initiatives, including workforce development, technology transfer, existing industry support and talent attraction and retention. Economic Development Partnership of Alabama Companies benefit from custom incentive packages that cater to their individual needs, along with advantages such as low sales and income tax rates, an affordable cost of living and a swift project permitting process in a favorable regulatory environment. The Alabama Department of Commerce Alabama Industrial Development Training AIDT offers no-cost customized technical training, screening and recruitment services, along with safety assistance, industrial maintenance assessments, and leadership training programs. It's constructing a $30 million workforce training center specifically dedicated to electric vehicles (EVs) and emerging technologies. Additionally, the Alabama Robotics Technology Park provides a technically trained, highly skilled, and education workforce in automation and robotics to promote the creation of growth through innovative technologies solutions. AIDT consistently ranks in the top 5 among all U.S. state workforce training.
