a collaboration among the University of Alabama,
Alabama Power and Mercedes-Benz U.S. International
with Alabama state support.
AMP will serve as an industry-driven world-class
research and development hub for creating and
sustaining modern mobility and power technologies.
Focusing on battery innovation, charging infrastructure, power delivery, and workforce
development, AMP is poised to support the entire electric vehicle ecosystem.
This partnership is designed to meet the needs of the burgeoning electric vehicle market and
facilitate the electrification of Alabama's transportation network.
