As one of their Alabama Power Service Organization projects, Haleyville and Hamilton Office employees took part in Marion County's first Habitat for Humanity Women Build. More than 50 volunteers built and raised all four walls of the home in Glen Allen in one day. A customer commended Ed Gaylor, Ozark Office, praising his technical skills and exceptional customer service while handling an issue with her refrigerator. "He was so good, so nice, very fast, absolutely truthful and on time," she said. "The on-time service was amazing, and each trip, he arrived in the time frame he indicated. The level of service he provided was the best I have seen." Enterprise Manager John McLean received an Award of Excellence from the Third Region president of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). The award recognizes McLean's five years of service as treasurer of the Fort Rucker/Wiregrass Chapter of AUSA. Southern Division Quality Assurance Specialist Dianne Hoskinson was congratulated and hugged by the grandmother of a little girl she helped on the way to work. The child's mother had been involved in an auto accident and Hoskinson stopped to calm the girl while the parent called police. IN MEMORIAM Harry L.
