Darrell Baker, director of the Utility Services Division, Alabama Public Service Commission (PSC), wrote to thank Janine Turner, Corporate Headquarters, for her "courteous and pleasant" manner while handling a billing issue. "She had no idea I work at the PSC, so I have to assume she treats all power company customers with the same thoughtfulness," wrote Baker. "Janine treats people the way we at the commission hope all customers are treated by their providers. She represents Alabama Power in a very positive light. They can be proud of her." Eastern Division kicked off its first Leadership Development Program July 30. Customer Kathy White called to commend Barry Giles, Metro South-Pelham, for his patience and willingness to give her time to resolve a billing issue. White saw Giles in the field and explained that her account had fallen in arrears while she had been taking care of a sick family member. True to her word, White arrived at the Metro South Office as soon as the doors opened on the morning she had promised and paid her bill. Before driving out of the parking lot, she called to express her appreciation for Gile's actions. Gadsden employees on tour. Send us your photo holding Powergrams in an exotic locale.
