Alabama Power continues its mission to help customers by launching a mobile app. "Customers are the center of all we do and our goal is to develop tools to better serve them, with particular emphasis on the emerging power of communication devices and mobile apps," said Shane Kearney of Alabama Power's Customer Services Department. "The Alabama Power app is another way we can interact with our customers to make their lives easier." The free mobile tool lets customers log in with their account information to: • Check their balance • Pay their bill • Monitor their power usage • Find a business office • Report an outage • Get the latest company news and updates. Customers can download the app by going to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and searching "Alabama Power App." The app is available for iPhones with iOS versions 6, 7 and 8 and Android devices OS version 4. "As technology changes, we evaluate new applications and implement those that will benefit our customers the most," said Technology Support Supervisor Wesley Higgins. "The mobile app is just one more way that customers can do business with us, and our hope is that it will be a convenient tool for them." The app adds a self-service option to an already expansive list of ways customers can interact with Alabama Power, including visiting business offices, calling the Customer Service Center and going online to alabamapower.com.
