Target Zero Heroes Dan Little's Oneonta line crew was recognized with the Star Award recently for achieving Target Zero for seven years. The Eastern Division Chapter of the Alabama Power Service Organization recently purchased 43 blankets to donate to the warming station at the Salvation Army in Anniston. Candace Lindsey, Ashville Office manager, was appointed to the St. Clair County Economic Development Council. Melinda Weaver, Haleyville Office manager, was named 2014 Citizen of the Year by the Haleyville Civitan Club and was featured in Business Alabama Magazine as a "Mover and Shaper" in Winston County. Customer Cynthia Ellis called to recognize Maxine Pleasant, customer care associate, South Residential Center, for her professionalism. Ellis said Pleasant is a "blessing" and added, "Maxine is a great asset to the company and helped in every way she could." Wayne King, Talladega Office manager, was elected 2015 president of the Greater Talladega Area Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the boards of United Way of North Talladega County, Talladega County Economic Development Authority, Talladega County Chapter Easter Seals of Alabama, and the Creek Indian Museum and Cultural Center. Operations Compliance Project Manager David Marsh was honored as one of four Alumni of the Year by Troy University. The awards are presented annually for outstanding professional accomplishments, civic achievements and loyalty and service to Troy University. A 1980 graduate of the Sorrell College of Business, Marsh is a previous president of the National Alumni Association, having been first elected to its board of directors in 2002. He is a charter member, past president and past chapter adviser of the Greater Birmingham Alumni Chapter and will lead the new Troy University Alumni Leadership Council. Miller Steam Plant Control Engineer Faran Rolingson visited family and friends in Trinidad. He holds Powergrams next to a banana tree in the front yard of his sister's home on the island of Mayaro.
