Alabama Power employees are nearing the deadline to upgrade their mobile devices to the new AirWatch. Enrolling not only keeps company data secure on employee mobile devices, it also offers many benefits that make working from a mobile device SIMPLE: • Seamless setup of new or replacement devices by pushing all company configurations automatically upon enrollment. • Company app store featuring internally developed apps, such as the Directory app that enables employees to see their colleagues' calendars while on the go. • Mobile intranet browsing through the AirWatch browser. • Protection of company data by separating corporate data on devices from any personal data, such as photos, apps, email accounts or text messages. • Less logging in, with seamless syncing of passwords changed on company computers in the office. • Easy read-only access to SharePoint sites using AirWatch Secure Content Locker. Access to documents on the S and H drives will be available later this year. Employees who wish to continue to sync personal or company-owned mobile devices to company email will need to enroll in AirWatch by Saturday, Feb. 28. After this date, email functionality (including calendar and contact information) will be disabled on devices not enrolled in AirWatch. For more information about AirWatch and how to enroll, go to mdm. southernco.com.
