Give your
energy bill
a vacation,
too.
For over 50 years Alabama Power's rates have been below the national
average, but there are still some easy things you can do around your home.
> Turn up the temperature. Set
your thermostat to 85-90
degrees while you are away.
> Close blinds and shades. But,
keep open those on the front
so your home does not appear
vacant.
> Turn lights off except those
needed for security. Consider an
inexpensive timer to turn them
on only in the evening.
> Unplug electronics. Televisions,
stereos and other devices use
energy even when not in use.
