Scan the code with your phone or visit AlabamaPower.com/save. 1 Ceiling fans with a reverse switch are an affordable addition to any room to help make your home more effi cient year-round. 2 Check your fans before the heat of summer hits to make sure they are rotating in the correct direction. Counter clockwise for summer, and clockwise for winter. 3 When the mercury spikes, a counter clockwise direction circulates air around the room making it feel up to 3 to 4 degrees cooler. 4 When the temperature cools in the fall, switch to a clockwise direction to help pull warm air from the ceiling down into the room.
