She has photographed three American presidents. She earned an Emmy for her work on "Gorbachev Walk-About" and was nominated for another for "Kids at Risk" with the Public Broadcasting Service- BBC. Byrd won a Kodak Award for her photography on "Where the Children Come From," also with PBS- BBC. Byrd's work has been featured on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, BBC and FOX.
