MUTUAL ASSISTANCE 2 H U N D R E D S O F E M P L OY E E S T R AV E L T H E S O U T H R E STO R I N G P O W E R The Long and Winding Road labama Power employees spent more than a month helping customers at home, as well as in Texas, Georgia and Florida, after two monster hurricanes in late August and early September and a third in October. Hundreds of line crew members, support personnel and contractors hit the roads to restore power, while customer service representatives stayed at home to man the help lines for Georgia Power. "Our response to Harvey, Irma and Nate has been a classic Alabama Power performance, characterized by safety and professionalism throughout," said CEO Mark Crosswhite. "The great effort the Alabama Power family puts into storm planning, coordination and execution has been evident in the outstanding service provided to our customers as well as those assisted in Texas, Georgia and Florida." Children wrote letters thanking linemen.
