5 It is my great privilege to share with you the Alabama Power Foundation's 2023 Annual Report. It was a year in which our Foundation team worked closely with you, our nonprofi t partners, to continue our collaborative efforts to elevate communities and support the people of Alabama. I'm grateful to have gotten to know many of you over the past year as I traveled the state to learn, in more detail, the important and innovative ways you are addressing community needs and improving quality of life for Alabamians. In our annual reports, we shine a light on some of our amazing partners and the terrifi c work they are doing. We also provide an update on Foundation programs and initiatives that touch many of our focus areas: educational advancement; civic and community development; arts and cultural enrichment; health and human services; and environmental stewardship. We do so much with you, we can't cover it all in this report. But, we hope it encourages you to keep doing what you do to make the lives of Alabamians better. And, that it inspires you to think creatively about how we can better support your good works and help broaden your positive impact. In 2024, the Alabama Power Foundation is celebrating its 35th birthday. We're proud to have worked with so many wonderful partners for more than a third of a century of service. But, we're even more excited about the future and the potential it holds… for us to continue working together, to do even more good, for the state we love. Keep going! We're right beside you.
