2024 IMPACT REPORT Notable Projects Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering Wahouma Park Wahouma Park Lighting and Smart Services contracted its first major off-system project in Huntsville, Alabama. We installed a new LED athletic field lighting system as part of The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering's soccer field & courts project. In addition, the school contracted for 78 cameras with our Public Safety division to replace old technology cameras and to increase the number of cameras for better school coverage. Lighting and Smart Services is proud to be partnering with the City of Birmingham on the Wahouma Park project in the East Lake neighborhood. Lighting Services recently outfitted the area with the latest in LED Athletic Lighting technology. The city was pleased with the results and is looking to upgrade additional fields in the coming years. CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS The Lighting Engineering Department is proud to nominate Ben Goude for the Employee Spotlight. As an Engineer II, Ben has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to his work, even with minimal supervision. Ben has notably taken charge of ALDOT Projects in Montgomery, an area outside of his usual geographic responsibilities. His ability to seamlessly manage projects across different locations showcases his adaptability and commitment to the team's success. Despite handling a high volume of work, Ben recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing the Professional Engineer (PE) exam.
