9 Shor e l i n e S | 2014 Vol :1 one of the many state officials quick to jump on the bandwagon of the Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series. "The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is extremely pleased to work alongside the Alabama Bass Trail to promote Alabama as a great fishing destination," Guy said. "We feel the Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series will be one more way to attract anglers to Alabama." Donaldson said the big money paid to winners and the top 20 teams in each tournament isn't the only incentive for anglers. "In 2014, B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society) will sanction the Bassmaster Team Championship," Donaldson said. "The Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series is the charter-sanctioned trail for that series. We can send up to eight teams to that championship. "The Bassmaster Team Championship will be held in the fall of 2014," she said. "The top three boats will compete for a chance to go to the 2015 Bassmaster Classic. That is an awesome opportunity." — MIK E BOLTON For more information about the Alabama Bass Trail and a map of tournaments on our lakes, visit Alabama Power's NewsCenter. alabamapowernews.com/
