9 Shor e l i n e S | 2014 Vol :4 top 50 teams in points from both the North and South divisions qualified for the event, as did the top 24 student teams that fished in the qualifying tournaments. There were five qualifying tournaments in each division. Flack had nothing but praise for the ABT's inaugural season. "I thought the ABT this year was outstanding," he said. "I like it because you can stay close to home and make some good money. Every single qualifying tournament has a guaranteed $10,000 to win. We are not professionals. Craig has a full- time job with Coca-Cola. A trail where you can fish close to home and make some money is a blessing." The 2015 schedule has already been announced. Smith Lake will become a regular-season qualifying tournament with the championship held on Wheeler Lake. Each qualifying tournament will once again have a guaranteed $10,000 payoff to the winners. Alabama Power lakes will be well represented on the 2015 Alabama Bass Trail schedule. In the North Division, three of the five tournaments will be on Alabama Power lakes. The second tournament of the season will be on Neely Henry Lake on March 28. The third event will be on Smith Lake on April 11 and the fourth tournament will be May 9 on Logan Martin Lake. In the South Division, anglers will challenge two Alabama Power reservoirs on the five-tournament schedule. First on the schedule is Lake Jordan. The Coosa River reservoir will host ABT anglers on Feb. 14. The South zone's regular season will end on Lay Lake on June 20. — MIK E BOLTON For more information about the ABT 2015 schedule, visit apcshorelines.com.
