"Leeds employees participate in all our civic events and help with various programs in our school system. It's not just a place to pay your bill. It's a place where good, interested folks work and participate in our community." Barnes said customer comments have been overwhelmingly positive since the new office was unveiled. "There has been so much enthusiasm," Barnes said. "The comments have ranged from 'This was much needed,' to 'I love the new place.' It just shows the community loves that we're here to serve them and meet their needs." Birmingham Division Vice President Jonathan Porter said the newly renovated office demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to the Leeds community. "Leeds is a city whose profile continues to grow and is poised for greatness," Porter said. "We feel that this newly renovated office in Leeds sends the appropriate message that Alabama Power is here to stay and that we, too, are poised for the growth in the area.
