We can potentially reach 10 million homes across Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina." Fishermen in the Alabama Bass Trail are amateurs who compete for the love of the sport, making time in addition to their everyday jobs, school and personal commitments. Billy Sharp, an amateur fisherman and general contractor from Albertville and his teammate reeled in 41 pounds and 41 ounces of fish in the 2015 championship to take home first place. "The Alabama Bass Tournament is a top-notch tournament trail, and I am impressed with the great job the ABT has done to promote the tournament and the state," Sharp said. "It will be great to see exposure for the local weekend angler on a national level and let people see the level of skill in our sport from this area. When people see the coverage on television, the trail will promote itself."
