to take precautions. These pointers
for preparing food are provided by
the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention and the Consumer Product
Safety Commission:
• Inspect the grill before using and
follow the manufacturer's guidelines.
• When preparing or handling
food, always wash your hands.
• Never place cooked food on a
plate that held raw meat or poultry.
• Never let children play near a
hot grill.
• The cook should wear tight clothing
when standing near a grill.
• Place the grill away from a house, shrubs
or anything that may catch fire.
• Preheat the grill for at least 20 to 30
minutes, and use a meat thermometer
to make sure food reaches the
proper temperature.
