FOUNDATION WILL MATCH COLLEGE CONTRIBUTIONS The Alabama Power Foundation is supporting education through the new Educational Matching Gi program. Generous contributions of employees and retirees to colleges and universities will be matched dollar for dollar between $25 and $5,000 annually. Eligible organizations are two- and four-year colleges, universities, and technical and vocational institutions, which are regionally or professionally accredited organizations designated as 501(c)3 by the IRS. Contributions of regular and part-time employees and retirees of Alabama Power can be matched if submied for consideration by the foundation within 180 days of the gi. The match will be made to the university or college aer the pledge is confirmed by program administrator Cybergrants. Messages from THE ALABAMA POWER FOUNDATION The 2017 Employee Scholarship Program will be available online Jan. 3 until March 1. The program is available only to children of Alabama Power employees and retirees. The Alabama Power Foundation will award 20 $2,500 scholarships and one Presidential Scholarship.
