The mission of the Community Soup Bowl of Tuscaloosa
is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere seven
days a week to welcome and feed the hungry. But the
organization does more than provide meals; it gives
community members and groups a cause to rally around
and a place to connect.
For more than 30 years, the Community Soup Bowl
has served the Tuscaloosa community, and that long
history of support would not be possible without the
many groups that unite to help out. The staff of six
serves an average of 280 meals per day, and hundreds
of volunteers are engaged each year to help meet this
impressive goal. Community members do everything
from cooking, serving and cleaning to landscaping and
painting the facility.
