Simpson spent about two years on the custom
build, which in his mind was worth it because
the homeowners were happy with the outcome. "I
put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this home,"
Simpson said. "Most everything that is custom I did
by hand," he said.
e homeowners' dreams not only included lavish
interior finishes, but involved state-of-the-art, cost-
saving features. Simpson installed energy-efficient
equipment throughout the home to keep energy
use down. He also used highly efficient spray-foam
insulation to help keep moisture out of the home,
while also controlling temperatures inside.
