Alabama Power employees played a key role in finally geing
the power back on for Puerto Ricans le in the dark for months
aer Category 4 Hurricane Maria devastated the Caribbean island
on Sept. 20, 2017.
The first two teams aiding Puerto Rico spent nearly two
months each on the island. By mid-March they had replaced
over 600 poles, energized over 7,500 houses and replaced
over 1,000 spans of wire in the Mayaguez region.
