United Way serves our state by creating community
change through education, income, health and access
to services. Alabama Power is a proud partner with
United Way and has a long history of support for
its campaigns. And through the years, employees
have supported their local United Way organizations
through donations and volunteerism.
In 2018, United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA)
awarded Alabama Power its "Spirit of the Gulf
Coast Award." This award is UWSWA's highest
honor presented to the company that consistently
demonstrates a strong workplace campaign, diversity
and depth in community issues and needs.
