44 Alabama Power employees' relationships with key civic and governmental organizations throughout the state keep Alabama on the move. Company departments and work groups monitor issues and efforts important to employees and customers — from all different backgrounds and cultures. We stay engaged with and help educate those who shape policy or organize efforts to carry the state forward. We have company representation in organizations such as: • Society of Women Engineers • American Association of Blacks in Energy • Latin American Association • National Association of Black Executive Legislators • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers • National Association of Women in Construction • National Association for the Advancement of Colored People • National Urban League We also support groups such as: • National Organization of Black Executive Legislators • National Congressional Black Caucus • Faith & Politics Institute Our contribution of time, energy, knowledge and resources bolsters these relationships, helping to keep them productive and invigorated — ensuring a brighter future for our state, our company, employees and the customers we serve. Governmental Relationships Faith & Politics pilgrimage supported by Alabama Power. "Our partnership with policymakers continuously strengthens the strategy to help grow the state of Alabama. Together, we can ensure we are progressive in promoting and attracting quality growth for our communities." – Patrick Murphy, vice president, Marketing and Economic Development
