Power Facts A l A b A m A P o w e r C u s t o m e r N e w s l e t t e r September 2016 www.AlabamaPower.com Ludie Mae Grantham, Wilsonville POWER RECIPE 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour ½ cup whole wheat flour 2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup chopped pecans 3 cups diced Gala apples 1 cup canola oil 2 teaspoons vanilla ¼ teaspoon salt Glaze 1 cup light-brown sugar, packed ½ cup butter ¼ cup milk Fresh Apple Pan Cake Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 pan. Beat eggs, oil and sugar with an electric mixer. Add salt, baking soda, flour, vanilla, apples and pecans. Mix by hand until well-blended. Spread mixture into pan. To make glaze, combine brown sugar, butter and milk in saucepan and bring to a rapid boil. Stir and cook one minute. Pour glaze over warm cake. Don't even unplug it until after you've cut the power off at the circuit breaker. p Watch where you're placing that ladder. Do not let it touch any electrical wires. p Don't overload outlets. We've got more gadgets than ever before to plug in these days. That doesn't mean an outlet can handle them all. Overloaded circuits cause an estimated 5,300 fires a year. p Don't touch a damaged electrical cord or one showing bare wire. p Don't run an electrical cord under a rug.
