"I'm proud that Energizers has raised $93,000 for Project Lifesaver over the years. The support means so much, it's one of the best projects we do. "It's phenomenal the amount of money our Corporate Energizers have given," Taylor added. "In 2018, we made over $8,000 in our annual auction, and every penny went to the community during our Christmas awards meeting." Taylor and other members sold pecans at Corporate Headquarters to raise money for charity. Those monies will be awarded in 2019. "I enjoy being with Alabama Power Company people," Taylor said. "I enjoy our activities and projects. The money that we give away just thrills me. I love it because I know we're helping people." Corporate chapter 2018 donations The Corporate Energizers distributed $9,000 among the following charitable groups: • Magic City Woodworks, a job and life skill-building nonprofit that teaches young people woodworking. • Project Lifesaver, a nonprofit that supplies GPS bracelets to people with cognitive disabilities or Alzheimer's. • Shepherd's Fold, a residential center that helps people aer prison. • Three Hots and a Cot, an organization dedicated to combating veteran homelessness. • YMCA Strong Kids Program, a fundraiser that supports programs that give kids the opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
