2022 CCI STRATEGIC REPORT | 17 CUSTOMER SERVICES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Our customer service representatives, customer care associates and other team members working in our call centers and local offices are the face of Alabama Power – on the front lines fielding questions, processing payments, anticipating and solving customer needs every day. In 2022, we marked our second year hosting the Customer Services Development Program, providing an opportunity for participants to develop the skills, business acumen and relationships needed to work toward their career goals. Fieen candidates were selected from a field of 47 applicants and all graduated from the program in December. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is comprised of an equal mix of management-nominated participants and self-nominated, management-approved participants with an interest in advancing their careers. In 2022, there were 114 applicants with 24 selected to participate, to learn and develop leadership skills, to expand their business knowledge and to cultivate relationship building. EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM The Experienced Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is comprised of management-approved, mid- level managers with an interest in advancement into positions with greater responsibility and influence. In 2022, there were 14 selected to participate, enhancing their leadership skills, knowledge and abilities. EXTERNAL AFFAIRS FULLY CHARGED External Affairs offers its Fully Charged Leadership Development Program to all employees within the department. The self-nominated, yearlong program cultivates growth and development for employees through exposure to the business and targeted training.
