7 CEO Mark Crosswhite, other executives and honoree family members were among those attending PAOH ceremony at Corporate Headquarters. PRESIDENTIAL AWARD Thanks to six Alabama Power employees, five people are carrying on with their lives. Employees presented with the Alabama Power Presidential Award of Honor during a 2017 luncheon honoring their heroics were: Larry Goodman, retired meter tester; William Harvey, engineering supervisor; Neil Marbut, substation services manager; Andrew Perkins, industrial hygienist; Trinity Renfroe, meter tester; and Baron Weber, local operations lineman. "The actions of these six employees reflect the best that is in all of us," said CEO Mark Crosswhite. "It is our privilege to recognize them for upholding the highest values of Alabama Power." The Presidential Award of Honor is Alabama Power's highest tribute. The award recognizes employees who, in the past year, took extraordinary measures to save or sustain the life of another person. On Feb. 8, Renfroe was performing a high-bill test for a customer. He was finishing the job when the customer ran out of the house yelling for help because her son was having a seizure. Renfroe provided care for the child and kept him stable until paramedics arrived. On March 11, Goodman was returning his boat to a launch in the Mobile River Delta when he saw an unresponsive man in a damaged boat. Goodman called 911, boarded the boat SAFETY Harvey Perkins Marbut
